Al is a husband and father of four children who have given him three grandchildren. Upon release from the U.S. Army and Air Force, he and his brother Eli, established Ambix Laboratories in 1967 as a manufacturer and distributor of pharmaceutical, personal care, hair care, and skin care cosmetics to the healthcare industries.
In the mid 1970’s, Al helped pioneer and develop liquid protein for adult weight control and geriatric patients, which were issued several patents, and established the company as an expert in this field.
Elkin Serna, President and CEO
Elkin was born in Colombia and moved to the United States in 1987 with his parents. He studied Electronics at the University of Antiqua, Medelin, Columbia. From 1978 to 2005 he held various positions in pharmaceutical companies on Long Island, New York, and in central New Jersey. His skills and organizational ability led to quick promotions from Compounder to Senior Manager of Manufacturing. In addition, he completed various professional education courses between 2000 and 2005.
Elkin joined Organics Corp. of America in 2005, becoming its VP and Director of Operations. He is responsible for overseeing and leading all activities and personnel involved in the R&D, logistics, warehousing, processing, and packaging of all components and finished products we make for our customers. He is now in his 28th year in the industry.
Michael Chanin, Vice President

Michael is the father of one daughter. Now in his 29th year in industry, he began his career before graduating college by securing an internship at the Warner-Lambert Company where he remained for 15 years. He was a founding member of the CROSSMARK Private Label Team at The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (A&P). His consumer health products and food background encompasses many functions in Branded and Private Label Operations, Brand Management, and Sales Management, in both large public corporations and a small, private company.
Michael joined Organics Corp. of America in 2007, becoming its Vice President and Director of Marketing. His general management responsibilities include developing the “public face” of the company, new profitable customer aquisition, existing customer retention, product quotes and sourcing of materials, to drive sales and profit growth. Additional duties include managing the company benefits plan, HazMat Coordinator, and identifying new raw materials, markets, and sectors that will differentiate the company's capabilities from competitors.
